The hospital provides first class accommodation, which is arranged around a secure garden area. The hospital has six wards, two of which are 12 bedded medium secure units and four of which are low secure 12 or 13 bedded units.

Having both medium and low secure wards within the hospital provides the patient with a seamless care pathway delivering continuous and consistent care. Hanover House ensures that each patient  resides on the ward that can best respond to their needs and allows them to progress through the rehabilitative process at a pace that ensures their progress.

The hospital aims to provide an environment that is conducive to a homely, but therapeutic environment. Each ward offers comfortable living arrangements with additional facilities to enhance patient care
